SAS expands world-leading flight info services

SAS Scandinavian Airlines will improve and expand its already world-leading flight information service by SMS on December 8. As of this date, SAS will automatically SMS all passengers who will be faced by potential delays or cancelled flights. The service is free of charge for SAS customers and will be sent automatically to passengers who have provided their mobile phone number in their booking.

This is another step to be proactive and keep our customers up-to-date with any potential delays. We strive to be at the forefront of mobile travel solutions and the rise of our customer satisfaction show that our SMS products are highly appreciated amongst our customers”, says Lena Rökaas, Vice President, Product & Customer Services, Scandinavian Airlines.

Members of SAS’ frequent flyer program, EuroBonus, receives an even wider offer of SMS services, including e.g. gate information, which are available free of charge.

The new SMS Flight service will be launched December 8 and sent automatically to all passengers flying with SAS or Blue1, except flights originating in Dubai, Germany, Russia and Switzerland.
