At the ceremony held last Thursday at the Frederic Chopin Airport in Warsaw, LOT CEO Sebastian Mikosz received on behalf of LOT Polish Airlines the award for the airline that provides the highest customer satisfaction level according to passengers travelling via the Warsaw Airport. The award was presented by Michał Marzec, general Director of Polish Airports State Enterprise.

The award for the highest customer service level, voted by passengers, has been bestowed upon LOT Polish Airlines as part of the 4th Frederic Chopin Airport Awards 2009. For the first time awards have been presented in this category. LOT has come first in the poll conducted among 1650 passengers who have travelled via the Warsaw Airport at least twice over the past 12 months. The poll was carried out between 3rd and 9th November 2009 by SMG/KRC market research and opinion polling company.

“This award makes us especially proud as it has been awarded by our customers, the people whose opinion we are really anxious to hear,” said LOT CEO Sebastian Mikosz while accepting the accolade. “I’m glad that our passengers feel at home on board our aircraft. Everything we do is meant to ensure their satisfaction” – – added Mr. Mikosz.

This is yet another in a series of awards conferred upon LOT Polish Airlines over the recent months. Last year Poland’s national carrier received prestigious accolade voted by the readers of the American and British edition of Business Traveller magazine who awarded LOT with the title of Best East European Airline. The biggest air travel website in Poland – Pasażer.com recognized the reactivation of LOT Charters in June 2009 as the Event of the Year. The launch of the weekly freighter service between Katowice and Hamilton in Canada in November 2009 came third on the list of the most important events of 2009 according to Pasażer.com.
