Croatia Airlines, Privredna banka Zagreb and PBZ Card held a press conference in the Westin hotel today. Tomislav Lazarić, Vice President of the Privredna banka Zagreb Management Board, Ivan Mišetić, Croatia Airlines’ President & C.E.O. and Mislav Blažić, the President of the PBZ Card Management Board presented a new service of issuing electronic airline tickets of Croatia Airlines through the ATM network of Privredna banka Zagreb.
The new service is a part of the development within the Croatia Airlines e-commerce project. This service enables the fulfillment of reservations made through the Reservation and Phone Sales Services of Croatia Airlines or in one of the eleven branch offices of the company in the Republic of Croatia. If the traveler decides not to pay for the ticket at the moment of reservation, he will receive a standard six-digit reservation code (PNR) and an additional numeric code to pay for the reservation on the PBZ ATM network. After the successful payment, the electronic airline ticket will be issued. This service enables travelers with valid reservations, with certain time limits within tariff rules, but also credit and debit cardmembers to simplify payments and purchase electronic tickets in a safe, familiar technological environment with no repeated calls or visits to the airline branch office.
- This e-commerce service confirms Croatia Airlines as the leading airline company in the region, as well as through availability of the services and the integration of alternative, non-airline distribution systems, the company confirms its position on the domestic market – said Ivan Mišetić, Croatia Airlines’ President and C.E.O.
Airline tickets may be paid at PBZ ATM network by the following cards: American Express, MasterCard, Maestro, Visa and Visa Electron. The technological solution is based on advanced Internet technologies and includes on-line exchange of information between ATMs, through a specially developed PBZ Card system and the Croatia Airlines reservation system, designed by experts of Croatia Airlines and PBZ Card. The technological support to the new services has been finalized and implemented in less than two months.
