The Extraordinary Administrator, Mr Augusto Fantozzi, announces that he received several expressions of interest within the terms of the deadline on 30 September 2008 at 12.00 hrs, as set out in the Invitation for Offers published in several newspapers, for acquiring the assets and activities of Alitalia – Linee Aeree Italiane S.p.A. under ext. adm., Alitalia Airport S.p.A. under ext. adm., Alitalia Express S.p.A. under ext. adm., Alitalia Servizi S.p.A. under ext. adm. and Volare S.p.A under ext. adm..

On this subject, he stated that only one proposal directly concerned with the overall activities of air transport (see Press Release of 25 September 2008); the other expressions of interest concerned specific branches and/or activities of the various companies making up the Alitalia Group.

The financial advisor for the Procedure has started analysing the expressions of interest received. Once the analysis has been completed, the proposers who meet the conditions for initiating negotiations – according to article 4, paragraph 4.quater, of law no. 39 of 2004 – will undergo due diligence examination.
